How to cook rice

The first thing you need to learn in cooking is the right way to cook and brew rice and know all its tricks.

  1. To cook rice, the first step is to soak it. After cleaning the rice, wash it with lukewarm water with constant grabbing to make the water on the rice clear.
  2. Pour the rice into a bowl or basin and pour hot water over it, not hot water; The base water should be about 4 knots above the surface of the rice in the bowl or pelvis.
  3. Add salt to rice water. Do not worry about the amount of salt. Because during rinsing, you can reduce the amount of salt by pouring water. It takes 3 to 4 hours for the rice to soak.
  4. After this time, to cook the rinsed rice, select the desired pot and pour two thirds of it with water.

Put the pot on a high flame to bring the water to a boil. When the water boils, drain the rice water and pour it into a pot containing boiling water and wait for it to cook in boiling water.

  1. To make sure the rice is drained, take a grain of boiling rice and mash it between your fingers or put it in your mouth. Rice kernels should not be hard, coarse or dry.

Drain the rice

  1. When you are sure that the rice is cooked, pour it in a strainer and pour lukewarm water on it to remove both the excess salt of the rice and some of its heat.
  2. To brew rice, first prepare a suitable pot and pour some oil into it to grease the bottom of the pot. Place the pot on the stove flame to heat. Cover the bottom of the pot with bread, potato rings or any other desired material for the bottom of the pot and then pour the rice into the pot.
  3. After pouring all the rice in the pot, in another bowl, heat the mixture of oil and water on the stove and pour it on the rice, then close the pot. At this stage, the stove flame should be high. Of course, before putting it in the pot, make a few holes in the rice with a spatula handle.
  4. After placing the pot, when you hear the squeaking sound and a little steam coming out of the pot, put the lid on it and reduce the flame and let the rice cook. Brewing a simple pilaf with the bottom of a pot of bread or potatoes usually takes an hour and a half.

Tips on draining and brewing rice

When rinsing the rice, place a bowl upside down on the dishwasher tray and place the drain on the bowl, because if the bowl is normally under the drain, the water will stay in the bowl and the rice will spoil.

When brewing, make a hole in the middle of the rice mass with a spatula handle, these holes will make the steam at the bottom of the pot easily reach the surface and the rice will brew faster.

Tricks for cooking and brewing rice

If you want to make good rice when boiling, pour a glass of cold water into the rice.

Choose a large container so that the rice has enough space to grow.

When boiling rice, pour two tablespoons of liquid oil into the pot water so that it grows well and cooks so-called well.

When draining rice, do not pour cold water on the rice as it will shock the rice and prevent it from rising continuously.

Extra tips for cooking drained rice

The first factor that makes a difference as a result is the boiling time of the rice and the second is the amount of water that is added to rice in the form of water and oil or alone. This water evaporates during the brewing of rice, and because it does not fit in the closed space of the pot, it is absorbed by the rice, and the higher the amount, the softer or softer the rice becomes or it is crushed.
